This Disclaimer applies to the website ciphercup.com, operated by Ciphercup Technologies Pvt Ltd (“Ciphercup”, “we”, “us” or “our”). It explains the limits of the information we publish and of the outcomes we can promise. Please read it alongside our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy. By using this website, you accept this Disclaimer.

1. General information only
The content on this website, including service descriptions, articles, checklists, FAQs and pricing guides, is provided for general information purposes. It is written in good faith and reflects the experience we have gained building websites and running digital projects since 2014. However, every business is different, and information that suits one situation may not suit another.
Nothing on this website creates a client relationship or a contract between you and Ciphercup. A contract is created only when you accept a written proposal or place an order through our shop, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
2. No legal, financial or other professional advice
We are a web design, development and digital marketing agency. We are not lawyers, chartered accountants, tax advisers or financial advisers. Some of our content touches on subjects such as GST on online sales, privacy policies, payment gateway regulations, data protection, consumer protection rules or cookie consent. That content is a practical introduction only and is not legal, tax, financial or regulatory advice.
Laws and regulations, including the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 and guidelines from the Reserve Bank of India, change over time and apply differently depending on your circumstances. Before making decisions that have legal, tax or financial consequences, please consult a qualified professional. Where we prepare template legal pages for a client website, the client remains responsible for having them reviewed by its own legal adviser.
3. Blog and guide content
Our blog covers topics such as website costs, e-commerce launches, WordPress security, Core Web Vitals, local SEO and product photography. When reading it, please keep in mind that:
- articles reflect the position at the time of writing; tools, platform features, pricing and search engine guidelines change frequently;
- cost ranges and timelines are indicative and based on typical projects, not quotes;
- comparisons of third-party products (for example, payment gateways or hosting providers) are our independent opinion based on publicly available information and our experience, and do not mean those companies endorse us or that we endorse every aspect of their products;
- technical instructions should be tested on a staging site or after taking a full backup. Changes to a live website, server or DNS settings can cause downtime or data loss if done incorrectly.
Unless stated otherwise, we are not paid by the companies we mention in our articles. If any content is ever sponsored or includes affiliate links, we will clearly label it.
4. No guaranteed results from SEO, marketing or websites
We work hard to build fast, secure, well-structured websites and to run effective marketing campaigns. However, we cannot and do not guarantee any particular result, including:
- Search rankings: no one can guarantee a first-page or number-one ranking on Google or any other search engine. Rankings depend on search engine algorithms, which are controlled by the search engines and change regularly, as well as on competition, your domain’s history, content quality and many other factors. Google itself warns that no one can guarantee a number-one ranking.
- Traffic, leads and sales: visitor numbers, enquiries, conversion rates and revenue depend on your market, products, pricing, reputation, customer service and wider economic conditions.
- Social media and advertising performance: reach, engagement, cost per click and return on ad spend depend on platform algorithms, auction dynamics and audience behaviour, and platforms may change their policies or restrict accounts at their discretion.
- Google Business Profile and listings: verification, suspension and visibility of listings are decided by the platform, not by us.
- Performance scores: speed test scores can vary with hosting, third-party scripts, content you add after launch and changes to testing tools.
Any projections or examples we share are estimates for planning purposes only. Monthly reports on our digital marketing plans describe the work done and the data available; they are not a promise of future performance.
5. Pricing and service information
Prices shown on our Pricing page, in our shop and in articles are “starting from” or typical ranges in Indian Rupees and are usually exclusive of GST unless stated otherwise. The final price of a custom project depends on its scope and will be confirmed in a written proposal. Third-party costs such as domains, hosting, premium plugins, licences and advertising spend are generally additional. We may update service descriptions and prices at any time, but changes will not affect orders already confirmed.
6. External links and third-party services
Our website contains links to external websites, such as official documentation from Google, WordPress and WooCommerce, government portals and our social media profiles. Our WhatsApp click-to-chat link opens Meta’s WhatsApp service. These links are provided for convenience and reference only.
We do not control external websites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, availability, privacy practices or security. A link does not imply endorsement, partnership or affiliation. When you leave our website, the terms and privacy policies of the other website apply, so please review them.
7. Third-party images and the Unsplash License
Some photographs used on this website are sourced from Unsplash and are delivered from Unsplash’s image servers (images.unsplash.com). These images are used under the Unsplash License, which permits free use of photos for commercial and non-commercial purposes, subject to its terms. Copyright in those photographs remains with the photographers who created them.
Please note:
- stock images are used for illustration only. People shown in stock photographs are models or members of the public, are not Ciphercup staff or clients, and do not endorse our services, unless we clearly say so;
- stock images of offices, devices or workspaces do not depict our actual premises unless stated;
- the Unsplash License does not cover trademarks, logos or identifiable property that may appear in a photo, and we do not claim any rights in them.
If you are a photographer or rights holder and believe an image has been used incorrectly, please contact us using the process in our DMCA Policy and we will review it promptly.
8. Portfolio and client references
Our portfolio shows examples of websites and design work we have delivered for past clients. Please be aware that:
- live websites may since have been changed, redesigned, moved to other providers or taken offline by their owners, so what you see today may not reflect the work we delivered;
- listing a client’s name or logo shows that we worked with them on a project; it does not mean that the client endorses Ciphercup or our current services;
- portfolio items are shown as examples of our capabilities, not as a promise that your project will produce similar outcomes, since each project’s scope, budget and goals differ.
We do not publish fabricated testimonials or reviews. If we publish client feedback, it will be genuine and shared with the client’s permission. Client names and logos remain the property of their respective owners. If you are a client and would like your project removed from our portfolio, please contact us.
9. Brand names and trademarks
This website refers to third-party products, platforms and companies, such as WordPress, WooCommerce, Google, Meta, WhatsApp, Razorpay, PayU, CCAvenue, Stripe and Unsplash. All such names, logos and trademarks are the property of their respective owners.
We use these names only to identify products and services accurately, to describe our compatibility with them or to provide fair comparison and commentary, in line with nominative and fair use principles and the Trade Marks Act, 1999. Such use does not indicate any sponsorship, endorsement, partnership or affiliation unless expressly stated. “Ciphercup” and our logo are our own brand assets and may not be used without our permission.
10. Errors and omissions
We try to keep the information on this website accurate and up to date, but we do not warrant that it is complete, current or free of errors. Content may contain typographical mistakes, outdated details or technical inaccuracies, and product or package descriptions may occasionally be incorrect. If there is an obvious pricing error in our shop, we may cancel the order and refund any payment in full, as described in our Terms & Conditions. If you notice an error, we would be grateful if you let us know so that we can correct it.
11. Website availability and security
We aim to keep this website available and secure, and we use measures such as a security firewall, regular updates and backups. However, we do not guarantee that the website will always be available, uninterrupted, timely or free of viruses or other harmful components. Access may be suspended temporarily for maintenance, updates or reasons beyond our control, such as hosting or network outages. You are responsible for using up-to-date antivirus software and browser security on your own devices. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the website without notice.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ciphercup, its directors, employees and partners will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or special loss or damage, including loss of profits, revenue, data, business opportunity or goodwill, arising from:
- your use of, or reliance on, any information on this website;
- your inability to access or use the website;
- any action you take, or fail to take, based on our blog articles or guides;
- the content, products or services of any linked third-party website or service.
This Disclaimer does not limit our obligations to clients under a signed proposal or a shop order, which are governed by our Terms & Conditions, and nothing in it excludes any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including your statutory rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. This Disclaimer is governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka have jurisdiction.
